Shreveport, LA- The Shreveport Regional Office of the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Department of Social Services, Centerpoint-Shreveport SRO, Queensborough Neighborhood Association, Claiborne Police Jury and Wilbur Education & Research, are hosting the Super E-file Tax Day, which provides free electronic filing of Federal and Louisiana tax returns. The Super E-file Day will be held at the State Office Building on Thursday, February 15, 2007.
Assistance will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No appointments are necessary and taxpayers will be served on a first come-first served basis. The program is available for low to moderate income taxpayers who file basic individual income tax returns. Representatives will be on site to assist taxpayers with preparation of their federal 1040A and 1040 EZ tax returns, as well as the Louisiana IT 540 return.
Secretary Cynthia Bridges states, “We are excited to host this wonderful event for our taxpayers. The Super E-file Tax Day is an opportunity for those taxpayers to come out and get free tax preparation and assistance.”
All taxpayers must bring all W-2’s, 1099’s, Social Security cards of dependants, and a copy of last year’s tax return if available. Taxpayers are also encouraged to come prepared to get their questions answered by our tax experts.
The Super E-file Tax Day will be held at the State Office Building, 1525 Fairfield Ave., Room 318.
