BATON ROUGE – More than 34-thousand Louisiana taxpayers have filed their 2008 individual state income tax returns using Louisiana File Online since the free tax application became available at the beginning of this year.
Louisiana File Online is a secure, easy-to-use, absolutely free web application from the Louisiana Department of Revenue. It allows taxpayers to file and submit electronic state income tax returns, pay any taxes owed, or set up direct deposit for their expected refunds.
“This free public service is already being embraced by tens of thousands of Louisiana taxpayers,” said Secretary of Revenue Cynthia Bridges. “We expect even stronger growth for Louisiana File Online as more people realize just how fast, convenient, and easy it is.”
