BATON ROUGE – Louisiana taxpayers now have one location where they can access all of the state’s electronic tax filing and payment options, the Louisiana Department of Revenue announced Wednesday.
Louisiana File Online is a gateway to the speed, efficiency, and convenience of online tax filing for individual taxpayers and for business owners.
Right now at Louisiana File Online, you can file individual returns and make payments for the 2008 tax year, and for prior years going back to 2004. You can also keep track of your account information (including posted payments), check on the status of your refund, and print copies of your returns for your records.
For businesses, online options include the Severance Oil & Gas Filing Program, the Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point (LaTAP) account management system, and Parish E-File.com, our leading-edge web application for filing and remitting sales & use taxes throughout the state.
Other options at Louisiana File Online include the ability to:• Check on the status of your refund • View tax information for previous years • Amend tax returns • Upload supporting materials such as scanned documents and receipts • Enter your bank account information for faster refunds by direct deposit There are no fees associated with using Louisiana File Online. It is a free public service from the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
