BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA- Effective immediately the Plaquemines Parish Sales Tax Division is requesting that all businesses having interests within the Parish of Plaquemines remit payment of parish sales tax to their reopened home office. Contact information is as follows:

Following the catastrophic interruptions associated with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Louisiana Department of Revenue began accepting monthly and quarterly sales tax returns for the Parish of Plaquemines as well as several other effected parishes and municipalities in south Louisiana. Many of these government offices have been reopened. LDR recommends that affected municipal and parish taxpayers check specific local websites for further information.
Cynthia Bridges, Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Revenue has been pleased to assist the great community of Plaquemines Parish, along with the other Louisiana municipalities that were temporarily unable to conduct regular business during the initial recovery efforts.
