LaTAP users are recommended to use Internet Explorer 5.1 (or higher) or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2 (or higher) as your browser to access the TAP site. Using a different browser to access this website may reduce site functionality. You should also disable any local settings, utilities or browser toolbars that auto-fill or auto-complete fields in your browser.

For immediate access you must provide the following information:
Once you provide all of this information you will receive an email with an authorization code that will be required to access LaTAP the first time. If you do not know your last payment amount and/or you do not provide an email address you will have to wait for the authorization code to arrive in the mail. Note: It is recommended that new LaTAP users view the online demonstration video to get an overview of the basic LaTAP functions. View the demo now at: LaTAP Demo.
Yes. You can complete all other required registration information and wait for an authorization code to be mailed. If you do not want to wait to recieve the authorization code in the mail you can call (225) 219-2203 to assist you with registration. Taxpayers that have never made a payment should call the same number for registration assistance.
Once you have established a login id you can add access to all of the accounts associated with the same taxpayer to your LaTAP profile. (ex: other locations for the same taxpayer, or other tax types for the same taxpayer) After logging in select the “Add access to another account” link from the LaTAP home page. You will be required to verify the following information each time you add another account to your LaTAP profile:
If you have a valid email address associated with your LaTAP profile, the code will be sent to your email. If you do not have an email listed, the code will be mailed to the address of the taxpayer associated with your profile. Some ISP's and spam filters have stopped LaTAP email from being delivered to the intended recipient. We are working on minimizing this. If you need additional assistance please contact the Department of Revenue via email at Business Taxpayer Access Point(TAP) Inquiries or call (225) 219-2203.
Each LaTAP user has a unique User ID to access LaTAP. If there is more than one LaTAP user for a single taxpayer, only one of these users can use the taxpayer ID for their user ID. If you used the old system, then your User ID may have been changed for use in LaTAP. For example if it was 9999999001, it may now be 9999999001-1. You should have received notification of this change, including the new User ID that will grant you TAP access. If you have not received this notification, please contact the Department of Revenue via email at Business Taxpayer Access Point(TAP) Inquiries or call (225) 219-2203.
Use the "Forgot your password?" link on the LaTAP welcome screen. Follow the online instructions to choose a new password. Upon completing these steps an email will be sent to your email address with a new authorization code that will be required the first time you use your new password. If you did not provide an email address when you registered for LaTAP the first time you will have to wait to receive the authorization code in the mail.
You can change your password at any time by logging into your account, clicking on the "My Profile" link to access your profile, and then clicking the "Change Password" button.
